Agriculture is a big part of Saskatchewan’s identity. Learning where our food comes from helps students connect with the land, the people who grow our food, and the ecosystems that support it all. Let’s rally the next generation of land stewards to learn about local ag! #CALM25

This Ag Literacy Month, students gain a deeper connection to their home and the food they eat. When students understand the connection between ecosystem health and ag, they’re not just learning about agriculture; they’re becoming the next generation of land stewards. #CALM25

Grade 10 students get the chance to connect with local ranchers and see how ranching helps protect native prairie. It’s a hands-on way to understand the balance between agriculture and conservation! Want to learn more? Check out PCAP-SK.org #CALM25

SODCAP Inc. works collaboratively to make habitat management for species at risk a priority that is also economically sustainable. Biodiversity supports Saskatchewan’s economy, and healthy native prairie benefits wildlife, livestock, and people alike.

Did you know that native prairie habitat supports Saskatchewan’s economy? By conserving species at risk and their habitats, we help agriculture, ranching, and other industries grow alongside wildlife.

At SODCAP, we focus on more than just protecting habitats. We work on actively managing them through programs that improve the land for species at risk. Our goal is to make sure these ecosystems stay healthy and sustainable over time.

Grasslands may not always get the spotlight it deserves, but they’re vital to our wildlife, culture and history. They provide food, shelter and breeding grounds for species at risk. They are also one of the most endangered ecosystems on Earth. Protecting them matters greatly!
