Clippers were the introduction to soccer for SoccerAmerica founder Clay Berling, then a Berkeley insurance agent, in 1967 and plaintiffs in soccer’s second major antitrust lawsuit, filed in 1970. FIFA & USSFA settled before case went to trial. (They were likely going to lose.)
