We're back on island! Moved back out yesterday in lovely weather and had our first 3 Puffins of the season just off Nort Haven - our earliest record ever.

It was all smiles today as we finished our seabird counts for 2025 - that's all the Guillemots, Razorbills, Fulmars and Kittiwakes on our cliffs counted twice and Manx Shearwater census complete too. After some really unsettled weather, we're very glad to be finishing on time.

Happy Pride Month! Everyone is welcome on Skomer - diversity and inclusion are a cornerstone of what we do. To celebrate, we've cross-referenced our breeding birds with those displaying homosexual behaviour (Bagemihl, 1999) to produce a Skomer Gay Bird Checklist.
