🍌, 🍎, 🫐 ... it's all natural, right? We appreciate your healthy snacking, however food waste is still litter. It can attract wildlife, and is not a regular part of their diet. Please make sure it is disposed of properly during your next visit. #actONlitter

Is your campsite bear safe? Bears are attracted to: 🐻 strong food aromas 🐻 the scent of garbage 🐻 cooking smells 🐻 ripe fruits and pet food left outside Wildlife attractants are best stored in the trunk of your vehicle (windows closed): bit.ly/3cJMFa5

Fishing line is a significant source of plastic pollution. Do your part to keep Six Mile Lake tangle free by disposing of your fishing line responsibly. Our park has two fishing line recycling containers; one at the watercraft rentals dock and one at the boat launch.

On today’s #WildlifeWednesday we are looking for the Spring Peeper. This frog can be very difficult to find due to their size and colour, which helps them camouflage into the environment around them. Have you seen a Spring Peeper at our park?

Nothing beats walking in a park with piles of poop left behind for others to see, smell, or step in. 😍 Wait, what? That sounds "pawful!" 🤨 When visiting Ontario Parks with your pet, picking up your dog’s waste is required. And no, hanging it in a tree does not count. 💩🌳
