JNF Hospital lab used Google Drive to automate information management. IT solutions are key to overcoming the HR reality of SIDS like St Kitts & Nevis - the EMT in Alexandra Hospital in Nevis also does surveillance. Today, I met with Dr. Kenneth George, Chief Medical Officer, and Mr. Wayne Marshall, Perm Sec, Min of Health and Wellness, of #Barbados. Issues discussed include Barbados chairing next EB, PAHO/WHO support for #dengue outbreak and, of course, the upcoming cricket world cup!

This morning, I met with Dr. Jerome Walcott, Minister of Health and Wellness of Barbados 🇧🇧, to discuss several important topics from #EB154, including health and climate change, which is a high priority for the Caribbean.

#Barbados is working on #Climatechange Resilient Food & Water Plan. PAHO-WHO Caribbean and Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) are engaging with the government, thanks to European Commission support. The plans will be validated with a variety of agencies in the workshop this week. gisbarbados
