Snow Alert! As more snow is expected the next few days, remember: if snow on your roof reaches 60-90 cm (2-3 feet), it's time to clear it! Heavy or wet snow? Clear it sooner. Use a roof rake for safe removal. Complex or tall roofs? Call a pro! #WinterSafety

Snow Safety Reminder! Heavy snow can be hazardous. If you notice a neighbour struggling, offer to help or recommend professional assistance. Safe snow removal benefits everyone. Stay warm and safe! 🏠 #communitysupport #WinterSafety

Remember: When the weather takes a turn for the worse, it's best to stay indoors and only travel if absolutely necessary. More cold weather is also expected next few days, so be sure to check in on your neighbours and assist with snow clearing if possible! #WinterSafety

Happy Family Day! Today may be a holiday for some, but not mother nature! Stay safe during severe winter weather by: - Only going out if necessary - Checking in on neighbours. - Helping clear snow if you can (driveways AND roofs!). Take care and enjoy Family Day!

Warm weather is here, but so is melting snow and rising water levels! Stay back from ditches and waterways, especially stormwater ponds, as water levels can change quickly. For local flood risk info, check with your conservation authority! #FloodSafety #SpringWeather

Flooded roads are dangerous! Water can conceal debris and washed-out sections of road. Just 2 feet of rushing water can sweep away SUVs and trucks. Never drive around barriers blocking a flooded road. Your safety is more important than reaching your destination quickly.

With a possible Ice storm on the way, make sure you are prepared! - Ensure you have lots of food and water - Have extra blankets and batteries in-case of a power outage - Have a hand powered radio to receive information - Check in on family, friends and neighbours to!

Ice build-up on trees and power lines can be dangerous! Avoid any power lines that have fallen and treat them as live. Also, do not walk under tree branches covered with ice, as the ice, or branch itself may fall.
