Today we present the latest view of SOFIA Telescope at the magnetic fields that live in the interior of galaxies. We explored 15 galaxies using the airborne telescope to reveal the order and chaos of the magnetic fields in the dense, cold molecular clouds where stars are born

We see early signs of a Gravitational Wave background in our combined dataset with European Pulsar Timing Array. These results corroborate with those from NANOGrav PFC and PPTA CSIRO_ATNF OzGrav Read along in this thread to know this discovery was made and it's consequences!

#PaperDay: remember talking to your grad school buddies about doing science together? After two years of code development, Shyam Harimohan Menon and I finally managed to put the first paper on arxiv: arxiv.org/abs/2405.18265

Another Mount Stromlo graduate presenting an amazing PhD project. Congratulations Shyam Harimohan Menon on winning the Charlene Heisler Prize! #asa2024

Quite cool, I just found out that part of my PhD thesis acknowledgments were used in Science & Medicine at ANU’s article on “the unexpected poetry of phd thesis acknowledgments” science.anu.edu.au/news-events/ne… there’s some other great extracts in there too!

Was a pleasure to visit and share some of my research at Raman Research Institute earlier this week. It was my first visit to the institute and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting fellow astronomers, subsequent discussions and walks through the aesthetic campus.
