It's NCFL week! Stay tuned as Spring Hill's Forensics group heads to Chicago to shine on the national stage. But first ... congratulations to Trystan Wood, who has been bumped up to also compete in the National Speech & Debate Association tournament in Des Moines! Go Trystan!

Spring Hill is in Chicago! The Spring Hill High Forensics Team is representing the Broncos in the NCFL Grand National Tournament. Today was filled with a Amtrak train ride, some delicious pizza, and many laughs. Tomorrow? Plenty of competition!

Our five participants are all ready to go in Chicago! Max, Kailey, Jackson, Adiel and Trystan all started R1 by 8 a.m.! Let's hope there's lots of rounds ahead of them today!

As we go through the weekend, we will spotlight our competitors in Nationals! First up is Jackson Roberts, competing in Congress! Jackson is a freshman who also does Policy, Extemp and Informational. He's passionate about WW2 history and has a bright future ahead of him! #SHProud

Next up in our spotlight is one of our two sophomores, Trystan Wood! Trystan is a two-time state qualifier and a first-time national qualifier. He specializes in acting events — mainly DI and HI. This weekend, Trystan is competing in Dramatic Performance! #SHProud

Next in our spotlight is sophomore Kailey Howell and senior Max Pacheco! They dove into PF last year and qualified for NSDA Nationals — and are in both NCFL and NSDA Nationals this year! Max has been an accomplished member of our squad, and Kailey is quickly becoming a star!

Our last spotlight tonight is Adiel Garcia. All said and done, Adiel has gone to six state tournaments and six national tournaments. He's been a NSDA semifinalist in Congress, and is now a TWO-TIME semifinalist in NCFL Congress! The show continues tomorrow! #SHProud

And that's a wrap from Chicago! Thanks to all who supported us at the NCFL Grand National Tournament! It was a great weekend in Chicago and our student had a blast! For Jackson, his year ends, but for the other four — there's one tournament left in the National Speech & Debate Association tourney!

Your Broncos have made it to Des Moines! A fun-filled day of obtaining Cornelius (the mascot) ... and some mini-golf at Blank Park (By the way — Mr. Kunkle was the mini-golf champ!). Competition starts tomorrow!

The road ended today for Adiel, as he did not advance to finals. Still, it is an amazing finish for Adiel as he wraps up his Speech & Debate career at Spring Hill High School!
