The richest man in the world: is one of the biggest political donors in the world. and one of the biggest government contractors in the world. while owning one of the biggest social media platforms in the word. While warning about a cabal of elites ruining the world.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to tell the difference between wisdom and the “white capitalist male” wisdom traditioned in me.

How can faith, hope, and love orient us as we walk through such an important election? Here's a letter I wrote to our parish about this.

Get out and vote, friends. This is an important election for all our neighbors.

In this election, if you’re concerned about division… More than equity More than dignity More than opportunity More than justice More than mercy Maybe pursue unity through these things, not despite them. Then you will not just squash division but actually find shalom.

If your mantra tonight and tomorrow are assurances that “God is still on the throne” or “Jesus is still king”… …your politics may be idolatrous. Of course, I believe these to be true, but in this context they only baptize losing in religious terms for supremacy cultures

It's really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really important that you stay in line until you cast your ballot.

America put a convicted felon in the White House before a woman. The message we just sent to the world. Yikes.

I’m sad and discouraged this morning. I’m concerned for my most vulnerable neighbors and our democracy. The work just got more difficult but we’re still going to do it. Hang in there, beloved.

Trying not to say too much today because all I feel is Rage. Rage that people care so little for their neighbors and particularly for children like my two daughters. Maybe tomorrow I can be more encouraging, but today, just rage and grief.

The Texas State Board of Education adopted a new Bible-infused curriculum for elementary school students. These new lessons elevate Christianity over the other major world religions. This curriculum is unconstitutional, un-American, and deeply un-Christian.
