Some gorgeous paper lanterns created as part of our Eid activity during lunchtime and in our Schools of Literature club on Wednesday Shawlands Academy Eid Mubarak to those celebrating!



Congratulations to Strangely Magical for winning the inaugural YA-ldi, the Glasgow School Libraries' Book Awards, voted by Glasgow secondary school pupils. And a big shout out to our fabulous shortlisted authors Maisie Chan - BLUESKY @maisiechanwrites and Ann Sei Lin ~ REBEL DAWN 🌅 ~ and all pupils who participated.


EXCITING NEWS! Shawlands Academy is hosting a STEM Community Fair on Sat June 10th. An interactive day to showcase some of the great STEM happening within the school. Additionally,the opportunity to get our local Shawlands community and families involved in fun STEM activities.


Congratulations to our supremely talented Shawlands Academy English teacher, Miss McDonald, for winning the Callan Gordon Award for Fiction as part of the SBT’s New Writers Award! We are chuffed to bits for her. So very well deserved! bitly.ws/FdLN
