West Middle School Staff & Students Celebrated Cultures last week with advisory activities & spirit-wear dress-up days! Wednesday: Represent your Minnesota Culture, Thursday: Represent your Shakopee Culture, & Friday was pick your one of your own cultures to celebrate!

Mrs. Spark's class had a visit from the AVID 7 class today to celebrate WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY. Students spent time together decorating socks. #rockyoursocks #ShakoWest

WMS 7th Graders were able to go to the Capital & Federal Government building in St. Paul this March. They voted on "Bills" to determine the Best Shakopee Restaurant, met some of our government officials, met a US Marshall & his bomb dog; the authentic learning went on & on!

The 7th Grade LIfe Science classes have been growing vegetables seeds since spring break. Yesterday they were able plant their seedlings in the West Middle School Life Lab. "Growing Learning Opportunities" here at West!

AVID 7 students went on a field trip to Master Moon’s Taekwondo led by Master Ryan that focused on confidence and leadership skills this afternoon.

Recently West Middle School 6th graders traveled to Caron Park to conduct Science Field Investigations. The day was spent exploring and hiking. Fun was had by all!
