Dear Secretary Miguel Cardona, survivors can't wait. We've spent the past four years watching ED rollback and attack our right to an education. Join us all week to demand #EDActNow by sharing why #INeedIX.

Dear Secretary Miguel Cardona, #INeedIX because it was the only reason I was able to graduate from college. If DeVos' rule was in place when I was a student, I might not have ever graduated. That's why survivors are demanding #EDActNow to rescind DeVos' Title IX rule vice.com/en/article/d3b…

Dear Secretary Miguel Cardona, #INeedIX because "local law enforcement would not investigate one of their own officers for rape and said 'if you were unconscious, then how do you know you didn't consent?'" Join us to demand a new Title IX rule by the end of #SAAM: bit.ly/edactnow

Nearly 10% of survivors who report sexual violence to their school will drop out. This is known as ‘constructive expulsion.’ Simply put, it means that even though a school didn’t formally dismiss a student, they made it impossible for them to stay.

For so many survivors, having their perpetrator removed from school isn’t about punishment—it’s an accommodation to ensure they can stay in school. That’s because it can be impossible to learn if you’re constantly fearing encountering your rapist.

Nearly 40% of survivors who report to their school will be pushed out of education. Schools are failing survivors and their negligence is having life long impacts. Learn more about the current costs survivors are forced to pay by reporting: knowyourix.org/thecostofrepor…

We demanded a new Title IX regulation, U.S. Department of Education gave us a meaningless blog post. Student survivors need action NOW.
