Why looked-after #children need #empathy most of all - The best way we can #support looked-after #children is by understanding the #different #layers they can show and #bathing them in #kindness, argues this #Sendco. tes.com/news/why-looke… Tes magazine #TES #Educationnews #UK

Looked-after children's life experiences co-exist alongside them like a shadow, and teachers need to spread kindness like confetti to help it fade, writes @sencogirl bit.ly/2JOZLon

Tes magazine @sencogirl While the call for empathy is important. Children who are looked after also need sensitive and timely practical support too. I agree this can also apply to adopted children.

Who on earth have you hired to create this campaign?? This is ignorant marketing at it's absolute worst! Please stop. Underwear? Children 'preventing' themselves from being abused? Remove, walk away & we'll say no more about it. Maybe use skilled and experienced people next time!

My thought for #NationalCareLeaversWeek. When the state intervenes to remove a child from their families, it enters into a relationship that should last a lifetime: not to 16 or 18 or 21. Just as a parent hopes to always be there for a son or daughter, so must a corporate parent.
