Yes! This is one of the things that de-values humanities and hides racism, sexism, classism, and other problems in science--because science is "objective" and therefore unbiased.

every time we bring up medieval medicine we have to mention bloodletting; what a dumb treatment, we think, modern medicine is evidence-based and would never do anything so ineffective and superstitious nope, we routinely choose superstition over evidence, for example-
