Did you know...? Autistic burnout is pervasive, long-term (3+ months) exhaustion, loss of function, and reduced tolerance to stimulus. It's described as being the result of chronic life stress and a mismatch of expectations and abilities without adequate supports. #iykyk

I find it ironic that on the one hand society actively ostracizes neurodivergent people for behaving differently, while at the same time every single TV show ever created has used "unusual" behavior to create characters that people would be interested in watching.

For those who have been wondering... "AuDHD" is an unofficial term used by people who have both autism and ADHD to simplify sharing that they have both. It comes up a lot in neurodivergent spaces, so I thought I'd share. 😊
