“Teams of engineers were reportedly assigned fast-paced, extended coding projects over the weekend, known as sprints” - I like my “sprints” to be a caffeinated tight 20 min followed by 10 min of crying in the bathroom stall.

What began as a way of entertaining her indoor cat and feeding a few squirrels a few peanuts, has turned into my daughter feeding the possums in our neighborhood. The possums had bald patches and various ailments and now have full, lustrous hair.

In other news, I learned that set theory isn’t that hard and may actually help me understand whatever Georges Perec was up to.

"I observed immediately that dating was identical to looking for a job. You needed to send out a lot of resumes. You needed to interview to find a promising match. But you didn't need to make a career of it. I essentially created a sales funnel." Matt Briggs mrbullbull.com/newbull/fictio…

so much more fun to read in a book group. basically "Ulysses" is musical, & akin to a Catholic mass celebrating language (i.e., Irish idiomatic speech), the vicissitudes of life, life itself as a stream continuously rushing past, unfathomable. a sensation as of life itself

My review of Trisha Ready's first book, Nobuko, was published in this week's issue of The Stranger. Her book uses a sequence for a short form that reminds me of the OULIPO's use of constraint (Calvino's formula for If on a winter’s night a traveler)... thestranger.com/books/2025/11/…
