Question: One of the things our teachers have asked for in our most recent school culture survey, is more focus on teacher well-being. What have you seen done that communicates to teachers that the school is thinking about their well-being?

We assume so much about what students can already do. The classroom is where we teach those behaviors, not just expect them (although we need to do both).

Thinking this morning about the role of purpose in our day to day interactions with students. We often think about how to engage the mind, but how do we also engage student hearts and intentions?

As a teacher, I used to get a bit overwhelmed when I saw someone else doing something amazing - in their instructional practice or in their assessment design. Now, I just celebrate it. I'm so excited for the students who have the chance to learn in such inspired classrooms

Such a simple concept. Words matter!
