Sugarcoating history does not make you a better citizen. Understanding our errors and pledging to do better does, however.

Gas prices and inflation will rise and fall, but our democratic institutions must endure. Our republican experiment was, and continues to be, on the line. And that deserves far greater concern from our citizenry.
