Leaf is very creative and resourceful: her plate of food was on the third tier of the cat tree, but today she decided she wanted to sit on the 2nd tier instead, and that she could simply reach up and scoop food off the plate above her. You can guess how well that worked lol

I have never known a cat to eat with their hands like Leaf does. This behavior would be much cuter if she didn't smear her food into absolutely everything and everywhere in the process 😅

Why do my cats seem disturbed by my yoga practice? Meditation bothers Jim a little less, although he has been known to tug on my elbow even then. Yoga gets warbling whimpers and whines lol.

I mean if you're dying, I feel like you're entitled to every bad food you weren't allowed, although he needed reminded today that this privilege does not extend to eating plastic nor tape! :V I can't tell you how much I love you, but please don't eat the fake tree.

Pretty sure our place here has some spirits, but they're not creepy at all. They seem curious, and one might be a small animal? I keep thinking a cat is slinking around only to find no cats in that room. Also a tall white flash zips by here and there.

Wind is rattling the windows and I got my booster appointment to get to today, which is close by but also up a hill and such. :V At least we planned on ordering a sumptuous Chinese feast for dinner and meals tomorrow so that helps. Local place is DELICIOUS.

It may have rained all night, and the forecast suggests it will rain all day, but at least it's cozy in here. :V Also, for the first time in my life, a real fireplace mantel! But the fireplace is set up for gas and no longer functions, alas.

I wasn't able to post this before, when it would have been timely, but we put little Jim to sleep on the 29th Dec, 2021. He was a very good cat and is badly missed.

I'm still (I think we both are) reeling because this happened so fast. He only seemed anxious about the packing up to move, and suddenly he's gone. I mean he was playful and naughty only a couple months ago: I figured he would live a much longer life.

Looking at my time line has sucked, took me time to deal with that. Also wow Atlanta sucked to live in. Even with the bridge down (Saw Mill Run?) here, and T service interrupted, we aren't too inconcenienced-- unlike usual MARTA "service". Just. Shit like that.

I was so mad and fed up with that city when we left, shit. And so far it's much much less stressful than Atlanta, and I really appreciate that. But hard to handle suddenly losing Jim right after that-- the move was tough and we were tired enough and then we had to grieve?

So I appreciate reliable rail service, it really helps.

Yeah, so wow, we've had to say good bye to two cats now in less than a year. :/ Really miss Ewee. She was really sweet and never once did anything bad (she always explained her justifications). Goodnight, little goblin.

It's too dark to get a photo but a deer is creeping on our bedroom window. She's just sitting there, in loaf form, and staring in our window. In the rain. As you do, I guess.

Been a hella year. We bought a house (well, Milo's dad did) and we have all moved into it, and also lots of animals live in the yard, so we see deer and turkeys and groundhogs and such everyday. And oh how very nice to have a Northern fall again. I really missed fall living in GA
