Crazy times we live in. I don’t know if this is a selfish thought or not but I just keep thinking about all the students taking exams. Best crack on and make these e-learning resources bloody good. Good job there is so much rich resources amongst the maths teaching community.

Testing my new toy ready for e-learning to start on Sunday. Next step, start doing examples whilst I talk over the top, although my Dubai students may need some subtitles adding as well..

So the inevitable and sensible announce has come, IGCSE’s have been cancelled. My e-learning lesson with Y11 this morning became me just trying to reassure them that they’ll get what they deserve and that exams don’t define them. Told them to remember the good fun 2 years we had.

Last lesson with NAS Dubai Y11 today, surreal experience from the normal end of year celebrations attached to Y11. The class have been amazing and taken everything in their stride as all they knew changed around them. These messages make teaching worthwhile. The best job!

Well done to all the students putting pressure on the government to force the U-turn. Still shouldn’t of happened, hopefully students who didn’t get their places last Thursday will do so now. Universities were told to keep places open for students appealing grades.
