Lots of things about institutions are hard atm but this lot brings me a lot of joy.

I signed this petition about the present Archbishop of York. I think that if he, and the present ‘Secretary General of the Archbishop’s Council’ were to resign, following the resignation of Welby, that the C of E might have actually *heard* and also *responded* to Makin well.

These resignations are/would be a first step on a long road of repentance. But ultimately this would be a road of trust, in the God of the Gospel rather than the gods of worldly, manly power which have so long affected and infected many churches - perhaps especially the C of E.

Today we mourn Virginia Giuffre, who yesterday took her own life, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse & sex trafficking. We applaud her courage in the fight against sexual abuse; “the light that lifted so many survivors" until the toll of her abuse became unbearable.
