There is now a dementia related tab on the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust DATIX system. We actively encourage the use of DATIX to identify learning opportunities, identify areas that require further support and most importantly improve patient/carer experience in hospital.

Remember George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust support the John's Campaign for all vulnerable patients and their carers. The Campaign allows 1 main carer to stay outside of visiting hours, acsess to free parking,and a discount in the restaurant. Ask the Admiral Service for a carers passport or support.

We have supported a record number of in-patients and their families in dealing with the difficulties that people living with dementia face in hospital. Thank you for all the support.

A dementia patient alert is now available on lorenzo George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust please apply the alert to your patients who have a diagnosis of dementia. It will help us to identify where our patients are located within the trust, and most importantly help us to support them and their families.

The Foget Me Not Pathway launched today on Arbury George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. The Pathway aims to improve communication,recognition, & improve overall patient&families experience for those affected by dementia. The Pathway also supports John's Campaign. Victoria Ward will launch tomorrow.

Serenity garden party this morning for our patients George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust it was absolutely wonderful to see everyone singing and dancing in celebration of #DAW2024 so much so that we are going to make this a regular occurrence. Our musicians were fabulous. Thank you to all involved.
