Thank you Jessie Daw, Ph.D. (she/her) for highlighting our research on the psychological burden of #MGUS and #SMM Myeloma UK we are acutely aware of the challenges that come with these diagnoses and showcasing them here at #ASH2024 provides an opportunity to discuss and inform. Myeloma UK

Delighted to see talented scientists working and developing in Scotland. Early career researcher Ebubechukwu Osinachi Nwarunma was surrounded by people at his poster at #ASH2024 in San Diego. He is also working with my fellow Young Academy of Scotland member at the RSE Williams Blood Cancer Research Group

Heartbreaking to know we have recorded the highest number of people living with #cancer in the UK ever. It means charities like Myeloma UK are needed more than ever. We will continue to work to improve #diagnosis, #treatment and #care. Together we are the cure.

How did I miss this post highlighting our work in Myeloma UK last year on imaging at diagnosis of #myeloma in the UK. It’s very important people with myeloma are diagnosed effectively. Our research showcases inequalities and use of imaging that is not recommended in the UK.

#Myeloma has one of the longest delays to diagnosis. During this years #Myelomaawarenessweek Myeloma UK are raising awareness of the symptoms of #myeloma. Help us improve time to diagnosis by downloading our symptom tracker and take a copy to your GP. It’s as simple as that.
