GK-2A LRIT on patch antenna and Satdump. Thanks to the decimation function, the signal is more visible.

New CelesTrak by Dr. T.S. Kelso TLEs show ELEKTRO-L4 (2023-016A) drifting east ~4.5° per day, supposedly heading for 165.8°E. Possible Elektro L4 beacon at 1693 MHz. Very faint though (maybe to prevent interference with GK-2A HRIT) Position: 127.95°

Portable Inmarsat 4-F1 Aero decoding with Aang254 SatDump and a TT-3060 Mini-M antenna. Both the @nooelec SMArTee and airspy.com Mini can power this antenna through the bias-tee.

Had a look around L-band GEO yesterday. FY-4B LRIT is now DVB-S2 QPSK 250 ksps instead of 90 ksps (thanks for the tip John Bell). Nothing seen from ELEKTRO-L4 which has almost arrived at 165.8°E. Nice to see xrit-rx still works!

Four months of radiosonde data received using Mark Jessop - @[email protected] auto_rx and fed to SondeHub. Essentially zero chance of chasing one down in Sydney.

Finally got GK-2A HRIT tonight! I setup my 1.8m prime and used my cantenna held by hand, but it was enough! As per usual, many thanks to Aang254 for such a great program! #satdump

Massive thanks to Sam for pointing me to David Taylor 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇪🇺's excellent GeoSatSignal! I am able to use it to process my GK-2A HRIT vis channel images into False Color images. Here's yesterday's FD FC image, the original vis ch image, and my setup. Also, FY-4B LRIT is back. #satdump

I made a video of GK-2A HRIT False Color composites from the images I received last Sunday, made with the VIS and IR105 images. I had to process with mogrify to make them smaller, and then used ffmpeg to make the video. Images were resized to 2000x2000 pixels before converting.

So on the weekend I spent more time trying to receive GK-2A's UHRIT x band service on my 2.3m prime. I've added a second LNA to my setup, which has increased my SNR pretty drastically. Well, that and getting the focal length better. Still, despite the gains I still can't sync.
