Randomly doing my mathematical physics and realized I have to learn convex optimization now. Darn it, I tried so hard to not be employable >.<

Mathematica and VSCode should have phone apps that give me a push notif once my code is done running so that I can waste time more efficiently

Why are all post rock song/album names hardcore, like "melancholy of existence in the endless void" but the songs are just chill basically just one note played over and over again

Doing theory can be really fun sometimes. The question -> conjecture -> skeletal proof -> add. assumptions -> more specific question -> stronger conjecture -> better proof ... spiral is addictive.

King Crimson really got the caption for my PhD when they sang "Confusion will be my epitaph, As I crawl a cracked and broken path"

First time in Europe (Italy) and the thought that keeps popping up is the refreshing chaos in the city and elsewhere. Things feel organic and not “proper” like US. Feels much closer to home (India). Old world ftw

The utter serendipity of me talking about a research problem to the wrong person, while the expert on the topic just happens to be next to us and joins in on the conversation, is why in-person conferences are friggin awesome. ❤️

Love the audacity of boundary CFT literature to call boundary conditions "normal", "ordinary", "extraordinary" and "special", all being distinct from each other.

the only way i’ve ever gotten around my imposter syndrome is to reframe it like this: i can’t believe i managed to trick so many people into believing i’m capable and good at this. these fools have no idea. i am an impish trickster god. what will my next gambit be?

People think I heard about Oppenheimer from studying physics when in fact I first learned who he was from listening to the 2010 LP album 'A thousand suns'. I still think this is such a great album. Angsty without being cringe, metal without being obscure. <3
