We (Global South) complained about lack of access to papers. Then, we were provided with an amazing solution. With OA, we can read any papers from rich-countries, we just cannot publish ours anymore.
We are now allowed at the meeting, as long as we don't talk. Higly inclusive!

Also crucial to consider our citation behavior carefully. Prioritize citing papers from society journals and underrepresented authors, and avoid journals with unfair practices to prevent reputation inflation. This silent boycott should be manageable for many, especially ECRs.
