Despite the popularity of bluetooth headphones, they have remained pricey, which could make one reflect on ones social status. Streaming platforms have obviously made listening to music become extremely more convenient. IE- download an album in seconds for a roadtrip. #MUS2011W21

#MUS2011W21 It is interesting to listen to Ray Charles use his vocals in such a raw manner. The recordings for back in the 50's/60's probably allowed for recording artists to do many takes if necessary. I love the fact that many of Rays recordings retain the that rough sound.

#MUS2011W21 It seems Shlock rock was created as a marketing scheme in order to make money for record companies. It copycated other artists work, sometimes from black artists to be cleaned up for white teen audiences, no value IMO!

#MUS2011W21 I cant fully agree with Wald's assement of the current state of recorded vs live music. If he were to venture down on #georgestreet, he may change his mind. Albums are easier to access no doubt these days, but cant replace the feeling of live music.

#MUS2011W21 I believe it is extremely important for the CRTC to continue the support of Canadian artists through a content quota. There are many deserving bands from this Nation that may never get heard if not for this quota. Long live Canadian Rock and Roll!
