Another very enjoyable evening was spend at the home of Mr E Fancy, Windermere, the first amusement being that very interesting game called Crokinole. Refreshments were served and much enjoyed by all. Then followed a few selections of vocal and instrumental music. Mar 10 1900

Come to Ross Farm Museum to explore 60 acres of rolling farmland and discover what life was like on a Nova Scotia family farm over 100 years ago. An authentic, living heritage site, much of the farm remains the same as it was in the 1800s.

Strange phenomena are constantly being brought to light. A curiosity both seen and felt was a remarkably strong spider web, spun among some alders in which a young man had the misfortune to become entangled one morning. Burnside Col Co Mar 14 1900

Staff recently completed a fun and unique project where they produced items to be used as props for the new Disney+ series "Washington Black" that is being partly filmed right here in Nova Scotia. Our staff never cease to amaze us with their amazing skills! #FilmNovaScotia

This week our international students experienced an adventure in rural living during their visit to Ross Farm Museum, where they got to try their hand at making candles and wooden tools. It was as educational as it was entertaining! #MySHSH #Internationalstudents

Another beautiful blue sky day on the farm! Staff was busy looking after some of the springtime work getting gardens ready, planting potatoes and trimming the grapevines. Drop-in and see what we're up to and learn about some of these traditional skills. rossfarm.novascotia.ca
