These crops were directly drilled into a multi species cover crop which was established as the rape came off. The cover crops really have been a big help for us this year, keeping the field drier and providing a cover from the endless rain. #Rockscape #britishfarming #covercrop

A routine tank clean for us over the last 2 days here at Rockscape Energy. Works carried out have included removing contamination such as plastics and grit along with servicing our submersible mixers and the heating circuit. #Rockscape #ADPlant #ADMaintenance

With the recent relentless wet weather, we’ve had to shuffle our cropping program around slightly, moving a small portion of winter cropping into spring cropping. In doing so, it means we need to get the cover crop seed spread on, as opposed to going on behind the cultivator.

Over the last week, we have worked on our largest digester. This holds 4,400m3 of material. The challenge was to remove the heavy sulphur build up and to re-tension the capturing net. #Rockscape #ADPlant

Kieran is out with the 36m Agrifac Condor 5, sneaking another tank of spray onto the rape while the weather allows, its been a tricky spring so far, all the rain and wind haven’t been on our side for applications, Luckily on good days Kieran has put the hours in and got caught up

The new machinery store is now fully complete. It has been a massive help having the seed bays at the back of it, allowing us to do away with seed bags when drilling. Now the drill filler is loaded with the telehandler and bucket, which is a lot safer and faster #BritishFarming

Alex has made a start on the spring crops with some Isabel spring oats into a grazed cover crop. This variety is known for its strong growth and resilience, making it an excellent choice for this system. #Rockscape #springcrops

Every 5 years, we must have certain tanks inspected for pressure testing. On a normal day these tanks can hold Carbon, Oil and Filters. These tanks are vital in our gas production process and therefore must be serviced during planned downtime.
