Happy birthday David Bowie!!! Bowie is my inspiration - I love his music, creativity, artistry and innovation. I even named my tiers of wines from my fave Bowie songs - the Rebel, Hero & Diamond. I’ll never forget seeing him live in 2004 on the Reality tour - a dream come true!

Today Is National Kiss A Ginger Day! And this lucky ginger got TWO lots of kisses today! 1st kiss, Aussie Angels Kerry & Robert, then 2nd kiss, my gorgeous niece (and fellow ginger) Tessa. Why not rock it like a redhead with your fave JP wine tonight….& maybe even kiss a ginger!

It’s here!! Veraison has started in our vineyards!! Veraison sees the berries change colour from green to purple in the reds and golden-green in the whites. It marks the end of berry growth and the start of berry ripening. This means we are getting closer to harvest!! Rocking it!

Say g’day to vintage interns – Gianna and Eleanor! Gianna comes from a winemaking family & completed her Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology in 2022. Some of you may remember Eleanor from last year, who completed the vintage and then headed to Europe for 6 months. Girl power!!

Vintage is just around the corner, which means it’s time to collect my grape samples and determine my picking program. Who can guess what will be the first variety to pick?? Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Frontignac or Tempranillo?? Naked Wines UK Naked Wines USA NakedWines Australia #v23

It’s the night before vintage!! As is tradition, we have all jumped on the scales for the pre-vintage weigh in, this year with a new addition of our vintage mascot, Sunny!! Who knows which way the scales will tip at the end of vintage!?!?!   Wish us luck Angels!!

There's nothing like some beautiful fruit to add a spring to your step! Today we hand harvested our Sunday Creek vineyard Chardonnay, & despite the challenging season, the fruit looks great! I've just filled 6 brand new French oak barriques & our terracotta amphora to celebrate!!
