I’ll never forget the way band made me feel in school. I’ll never forget the way choir made me feel in school. I’ll never forget the feeling. I’ll never forget the sense of belonging. I’ll never forget the joy and happiness. I’ll never forget the music. Music ensembles are magic.

We need Music Education for the next generation of professional musicians. We need it for the next generation of amateur musicians. We need it for the next generation of audience members. We need it for our health and wellbeing. We need Music Education because we all need music.

Thanks Middle School Band Director Judy Einus for 19 years of musical leadership. Mrs. Einus directed her last concert last night before she retires at the end of the school year. Welcome to the new director, Ms. Tiffany Hitz.

We've always had SEL in schools. It was called recess, unstructured play, Music, Arts, Physical Education, Etc. But they've been removed or reduced to spend more time on testing, & then we wonder why students lack social/emotional skills to self regulate, focus, & reduce stress.

A well-rounded education is incomplete without instruction in the arts. 🎭 🎶 🎨 No matter the medium, the arts are a powerful tool for engaging & empowering students, providing them with a consistent, positive outlet for creative expression & personal growth. #BecauseOfArtsEd

Being in a band, choir, or orchestra educates you in a way like nothing else can.

Music in schools is so much more than just a subject. So much more.

Playing an instrument makes life better. Singing makes life better. Being in a band makes life better. Being in a choir makes life better. Being in an orchestra makes life better. Listening to music makes life better. Going to concerts makes life better. Music makes life better.
