I think we can call it shut on 'Open' AI: the 98 page paper introducing GPT-4 proudly declares that they're disclosing *nothing* about the contents of their training set.

When you prompt it well enough and copilot "gets" what you're trying to achieve, it is a discrete transition that feels like doing powerful combos and dealing critical damage in video games 🙌

The gap between how powerful LLMs appear to be on Twitter and how genuinely useful they are in reality is incredible. (Maybe the conclusion is that they are, in fact, very powerful because nobody bothers to actually ***read*** anymore?)

There’s no intelligence in AI. Bad products show what happens when teams believe the marketing (it’s sold that way because labs need funding) Teams that see LLMs as token predictors build better systems and products.

A functional human brain that's capable of critical thinking is already extremely valuable (and increasingly rare) in the years of LLMs.

Knowledge is not the same as intelligence. Recall is not the same as problem solving.
