It looks straightforward on the PnF chart, but this trading-101 short has taken over 45 minutes so I got out just now at the previous swing low (dotted line). Trade not going well == shrink the trade. As I'm making this post, it finally rushed down past my target.

Is it pulling back for the next push up, or rolling over at the previous peak? If the latter, is it a trading range up here or a plunge into a fresh downtrend? I say: you can't tell. What matters isn't guessing right the first time, but how you handle it when the action unfolds

Big overnight drop+trading range. So, I get short at the first lower low the top of the range. I added at the breakout. I hope it makes a measured move, but it's running out of rhythm time. So I might just take profits soon instead. Either way a good trade. Could be a great one.

I have been having a lot of fun with Clojure recently. I do miss the ASDF-style of loading random projects into my image (vs run Leiningen on one project), but maybe I just don’t know enough about it yet. Cider+emacs is great (it even displays awt images in the emacs buffer).

It's reasonable to assume you need more information or better indicators or fancier charts to trade well, but it's incorrect. You need to develop intuition (foresee MULTIPLE likely outcomes), patience (wait for good entries), and humility (change course when you get it wrong).

Pelosi’s advice when shaking hands is “pretend you both have colds.” Ha! The article reports that “affectionate mannerisms” are out of touch with the Democrats. How very “progressive.” Maybe use hand sanitizer right after so they know you hated it LOL msn.com/en-us/news/pol…

The overnight session evenly trended. Now, you can see the fast and slow averages clobbering each other (and slow averages are compressing). Price has no direction, so the only play is to fade moves (accepting that eventually the market will slaughter you when a trend forms).

In your product demo, if your software claims that shoes are a butter dish and that frogs sound like people, just complain about how incredibly slow it is and move on. 😎 He definitely gets points for honestly just trying stuff live. youtu.be/KgSw0TBsCaU

I have been trying an experiment for the last couple weeks: I’ve been listening to Autechre exclusively, and *never* skipping to the next track, as a way to build patience and willpower (I love them but they do have some looong repetitive tracks)

Watching people on twitter attempt to play "gotcha!" with the report and/or AG Barr's remarks would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. The media has really warped some people's priorities. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." (Romans 1:22)

Am I supposed to believe that Google can build a machine that beats people at Go, but it can’t place a YouTube ad in a natural place like a pause in a conversation, or a scene change?

This trading-101 play off a 2-legged pullback to the moving average blew past the small target. Can it reach the larger one? After the 7:30 rejection of the spike down, does anyone really want to sell right now? The market is full of interesting questions if you stay curious.

When developing StarFox, using 640k dos machines, we started running out of memory when compiling our code about half way through the project - in those days machine code was compiled in one massive blob, so what did we decide do?

Childish stuff like this is why, despite really loving scala the language, I just can’t commit to it. contributors.scala-lang.org/t/coc-compatib…
