VideoLAN FWIW, thanks to dav1d, Google changed Youtube to force AV1 with software decoding (for devices who don't do AV1 hw decoding). They are literally more than halving devices' battery life, creating more e-waste. Ofc I'm not blaming dav1d devs, just thought it was worth mentioning.
