Labour figures here in Blyth are pleased - they are expecting a good night. Conservatives less so, but fairly sanguine about it all. They saw the heavy losses coming and blame the national picture, rather than their record locally in Northumberland. #Ge2024

It wasn't meant to be. Blyth and Ashington is pipped in the fastest declaration race by Sunderland South.

Lib Dems are relatively happy with how they have done. Green activists think they might outperform the exit poll. Neither party are likely to win a seat in Northumberland, but they feel their local campaigns went ok.
