The hardworking residents of Lackawanna and Luzerne counties deserve better from those who represent us in D.C. If these drastic cuts become reality, we can't make up the difference in lost federal funds in our state budget and working people will be hurt.

As a proud member of the Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness committee, I was thrilled to learn more about the fantastic work being done at Camp Freedom. This organization offers disabled veterans, first responders, and their families a chance to heal through the outdoors.

Sunday hunting is almost here! The #PAHouse has finally sent a bill to Governor Josh Shapiro's desk to give the Pennsylvania Game Commission the authority to enact Sunday Hunting, giving hunters more opportunities to share in one of our state's richest traditions. I was a proud yes vote!

Each season, Hunters Sharing the Harvest donates over 100,000 pounds of venison to more than five thousand food banks, soup kitchens, and mission outreach centers across Pennsylvania. The donation of this bounty helps families put food on the table!

It's not too late to apply to the expanded Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, as the deadline isn't until Dec. 31. Contact my office for assistance at 570-655-4883. The expansion raised rebate amounts up to $1,000 and income eligibility limits up to $46.520.
