He feels safer knowing its his niece with him. Just having her this way will ease his fear.

He smiled softly at her. Curling up to his niece he relaxes as he closed his eyes

“Ohhh I didn’t mean to.” Suddenly he felt a horrible pain in his body as he screamed and fell to his knees “AHHH!”
