𝐉𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐃 Barcola off-ball movement is top 2 with Raphinha for wingers (if we’re not counting Mbappé as a winger now), lightning quick and smart. Has double movements in his locker. Killed Arsenal’s last line, should have had 3 goals over both legs.

World #1 Aryna Sabalenka ends Iga Swiatek’s 26-match winning streak at #RolandGarros, beats the 4-time champ 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-0 to reach her first final in Paris. 6th Grand Slam final, 5th in the last 6 Slams she played. Best in the world.

I gravitate toward the latter. There’s inherent ability, which I believe mainstream football discourse most commonly associates with “talent”, but I draw a distinction here. Ability (an enabler), to me, is almost a precursor to talent - it’s sort of a raw material that you

I know his decisions somehow keep paying off, but… subbing Pedri off instead of moving him deeper in a game-state where Spain desperately need to regain control is beyond baffling to me.

I rate Alvarez, but I'm not a fan of short CFs. You lose physical capacity in build up to get up the pitch quickly (1st ball & hold up play) vs a high press, & you lose box dominance (aerial & physical duels) vs deep blocks. Plus, he's a SS profile. A floater, not a lighthouse.

mrfootball I don't see them as similar. Doku is someone who looks to pass back and reminds me of Sterling in that he's not naturally someone whose gonna look to 'bang' once he creates that seperation. He's more efficient. William's more of a risk taker and more willing to have a crack.

The requirements for a Barcelona player have undergone significant evolution over the years. Players like Cherki and Isco, who are less mobile, might have thrived in Barcelona's system in the past, but would likely struggle to fit in with this team's current style and demands.

Cuz they're two different people. The-same age factor doesn't seclude people into the same behavioral pattern. LY is a free kid who does what he believes he might like, and it shows in his skillset development. He learns, tries out what he learns, hence his fast on-field growth.

I think he'd excel in a (CF) role. His lack of balance and short passing ability makes him less suited for midfield or wing positions, which require more agility. But his ability to hold up the ball with his back to goal and his impressive shooting skills are on point.

Moving Dembele centrally has been a master stroke by Enrique as it reduces the number of decisions he has to make. When you are that two footed and play wide the decisions are endless (cross/dribble/pass/shoot/down the line/cut inside etc). There is more focus in central areas
