Glad to have the chance to go on Channel 5 News to discuss the importance of a scale up in the international response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda, and the importance of communicating with affected communities.


Spent the day talking to kids in this remote village in northern #Afghanistan. Their only source of clean water is brought in on trucks by Save the Children International. They have no electricity, no toilets, no schools, no health facilities, no jobs and no money for food.

The IHR Emergency Committee convened by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on #Ebola in #DRC met today. It was the view of the committee that the conditions for a Public Health Emergency of International Concern have not currently been met.
