Perhaps he and ‘preacher’ Daniel Kibret should be reminded that we are no longer living in the time of the Old Testament. It was corrected in many ways in the New Testament that is all about peace! Sad to see the division in the Ethiopian Church

Dying from a Ute hunger is terrible. But add to that the devastation that is done by chronic hunger on the minds and bodies of the victims. Man-made hunger is a war crime and a crime against humanity. All humans have a right to life and a life in dignity! #Ethiopia #Tigray

The statement could also be read in reverse: « Young people should not die, women not raped and property not be looted and demolished to keep politicians in power »! #Ethiopia

Outrageous to see this pictures in 2021/2014. Mothers and fathers in the whole of #Ethiopia should call for an end to this famine. Surely, this child is neither a terrorist nor a combatant!

Roger Bracke (@rbracke) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Imagine how far the stupidity and perversity have gone. Is Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus a terrorist too? I thought the #Ethiopia|n govt clarified that it was only against TPLF, not against the people of #Tigray. They should be proud to have a fellow country man on such a senior UN position.

We can Tweet all day long about the suffering in #Tigray, Afar, Oromia, other areas in #Ethiopia. Some do and I admire them. But unless the general population starts protesting against abuse and famine, nothing will change. Mother’s and fathers, break your silence. Silence kills!

Roger Bracke (@rbracke) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Simply shameful. What was first presented as a 'simple policing operation', then an attempt to root out 'terrorists' has become a sustained effort to wipe out #Tigray. And #Ethiopia/n leaders continue boosting about it. Shameful!

Roger Bracke (@rbracke) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Interesting. But small fact check. When exactly did His Excellency visit the region for the last time? #Ethiopia #Tigray

Every child or adult that either dies from famine or from chronic malnutrition is a stain on the reputation of a government that is either unwilling or incompetent to keep its population healthy. #Ethiopia #Tigray

Remarkable analysis about the UN's top leaders gross negligence on responding to the food crisis in #Tigray. See no evil, hear no evil and just keep silent. Remember the 3 monkeys? sites.tufts.edu/reinventingpea

For the 100th time, « it’s the TPLF he is talking about »??? But why then blockading aid or setting unreasonable restrictions to food aid and medical support to the whole population in #Tigray? Open your eyes. The civilian population is starving! Get real, please!! #Ethiopia

Poorly informed and poor thinking. The govt of #Ethiopia stated that they were not against the people in #Tigray but against the TPLF. And ALL govts are expected to care for their population. Pls update yourself on IHL!

I did not know where to look - at the face of the starving child or the desperate mother. But look we all must with eyes wide open. The least to be done is to bear witness and use your voice even if blocked - or worse - from helping practically #Tigray #Ethiopia

Roger Bracke (@rbracke) 's Twitter Profile Photo

What can one add to this? The inhuman, all-out war on #Tigray will maim all of #Ethiopia for decades. Let it not bring joy to those who feel winning. That joy will end soon when the cost of war will make the economy crumble. And all will pay for the pride of a few. Shame!

Roger Bracke (@rbracke) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The smiles in the below picture are an insult to all those who suffer in #Tigray and other parts of #Ethiopia. What is so funny about starving people, waging war and ruining the remarkable diversity of a once great country? Smile on, dear politicians. History will remember.

Roger Bracke (@rbracke) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Moreover, the Minister of Peace, should perhaps talk with his own PM instead and call for an end of the hostilities and sustained famine campaign in #Tigray before holding empty talks with foreign leaders. Priority should go to facilitating an all-inclusive internal dialogue!
