I’ve wanted to see a Hoopoe since I learned of their existence. I mean, why wouldn’t you, the name, just perfect. And just look at it. Beautiful. Well today I saw one, thanks to Nigel Wheatley and of course raoul Humphreys
Watch this clip to the end to see a treat! Hoopoe at Hendra found by Nigel Wheatley
We visited Mên-an-Tol, Boskednan and the Mên Scryfa, and then raoul Humphreys spotted an American Golden Plover & a Dotterel amongst a flock of Golden Plover and therefore I think he is quite happy that’s where I wanted to go this morning.
Beautiful upland sandpiper at Sennen- great that a good number of people were able to share the experience! Nigel Wheatley must be the bird you heard a few weeks back?

Hi for prints you can dm me or London House Studio. We have a range of Martin’s prints including a new limited edition of last years Blackburnian on Scilly.
It’s been rather dull weather recently, but I have just moved this painting by our own raoul Humphreys so I can see it from my desk to remind me that spring is arriving, and soon the Wheatear will be back in Kenidjack. #Cornwall
