If it was any other president, everyone would be talking nonstop about the repetitive fumbles, outright cluelessness, and baseless accusations, but with Trump it's just another day at the office. Our acclimation to this is a massive part of the problem.

The conversation has rightly moved on to more pressing matters, but the relentless, ravenous media effort to portray this guy as mentally incapacitated — as distinct from, you know, just being old — will forever be distasteful & baffling to me.

It's troubling to me how much people have taken this stuff as gospel or fact when it strikes me that the evidentiary bar ought to be really high for this kind of claim & people are ignoring both on the record denials from all kinds of quarters & also things that wouldn't make
