We all know it's hot, but let's keep the patronising advice to a minimum. Drink plenty of water, and enjoy a glass of orange juice if you like - I recommend chilled!

Lockdowns will decrease Public Health Article in HP De Tijd feb 21 It saddens me to read how thousands, even millions of children and adolescents have problems now

Catastrophic lockdown policy was a disaster for millions of children. One more example. "The number of parents claiming disability benefits for children with conditions such as ADHD and autism has surged by 200,000 since lockdown, new figures reveal." telegraph.co.uk/business/2024/…

It was wrong to force millions of young people to take a vaccine they had no need for whatsoever - many of us said so at the time. Heavy-handed blackmail. There was risk, and very little benefit. An incredibly dark period of our recent history. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Strange to see my post being censored by LinkedIn. I thought we were past these attempts to shut down fair debate over pandemic policies, but apparently not. Disappointing - I stand by what I said.

Houses and cars come and go, but you only get one body. People spend so much time and attention obtaining material goods, yet fail to care for the one thing that will stay with them for their entire life. It's your body, your mind, your health - look after it, nobody else will!

No surprise whatsoever to read of soaring anxiety in children following lockdowns - referrals more than double pre-COVID levels. Careful attention must be given in order to avoid overdiagnosis, but there is little doubt of the brutal damage restrictions inflicted on millions.

It amazes me that the people who advocated aggressively for school closures - including teaching unions - have made no apology to children for unnecessarily causing havoc with their mental health and education. An official apology from the Government to the younger generation

Professor Karol Sikora (@profkarolsikora) 's Twitter Profile Photo

If we're allowing Government to take these decisions in order to 'improve' the health of the nation, why not ban alcohol in pubs too? Will we soon see pork scratchings be smuggled around on the black market? Let's show some sense and let's treat people like adults.

I detest smoking. It's an awful habit, terrible for your health and I urge anyone to quit. But. At some stage, we have to trust people to make their own decisions. If we banned any harmful habit, we'd be living very boring lives. Where do we draw the line? Alcohol? Unhealthy

Andy Kesson (@andy_kesson) 's Twitter Profile Photo

From one of the countries leading cancer doctors. And no I don’t smoke I quit couple of years ago but where will it end if we let them continue.

Professor Karol Sikora (@profkarolsikora) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It's incredible to see so many justify the smoking ban because they think that it's a 'disgusting' habit. So do I! But we live in a country where people can choose to indulge in disgusting habits. Choose being the key word. Lockdown public health authoritarianism lives on.

Professor Karol Sikora (@profkarolsikora) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Instead of foolish and unworkable smoking bans, the real target should be obesity. Not through prohibiting dairy milk or mandatory calorie counts, but delivering real investment into education and infrastructure. Accessible parks, pools and pitches in every single British town.

Jayne Nickalls (@jnickalls) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I agree totally. We must tackle the real issues at root cause - it’s all about education and forming good habits etc early in life

The big business of “wellness”, with its fancy diets, weird potions and strange practices giving the promise of eternal life, has seeped into the public consciousness. It has a dark side. My piece in today's Telegraph. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/09/0…
