smiling over his shoulder at the other. he’s trying to write down shakespearean monologues from memory!

he continues to write, grinning as he pauses to try and remember the next line. he wants to memorize all the great monologues.

“i’m trying to memorize it all,” nodding as he turns to face the other with a kind smile. “one day i’ll play all of these roles.”

looking up from his homework. “what can i do for you?” a light chuckle as he closes his book.

“thanks. i feel like i really have a gift for this acting thing.” he’s grinning from ear to ear as he looks at the other.

“you think so?” he’s definitely going to have todd’s words on repeat in his head for days. “do you wanna do something? my hand is starting to cramp.”

“you should! i think you’d write excellent poetry if you really put your mind to it.” it’s supposed to be encouraging, but he isn’t sure if it comes across that way.

“you should let me read them before you told them. sometimes it’s best to get an outside opinion.” a shrug as he offers a smile.

“it’s alright if you’d rather keep them to yourself though, i get it.” a nod as he watches the other. he can’t help but to allow a toothy grin to spread across his face.

he scans over the poems, occasionally glancing up at todd with a cheesy smile. “yeah, these are really good.”

“yeah! you could be one of the great poets one day!” he’s nodding enthusiastically.

“you could,” he says as he nudges the other. “got some real talent here.”

“makes sense.” he nods and smiles. then, he gets an idea. “hey, you should come audition for the play with me! it’ll be fun!”

he nods in agreement. usually the best works are done on people’s own time without deadlines. “you could always volunteer to do stage work. they’re always looking for people to do lighting and stage hands!”

don’t mind him, he’s just rehearsing his lines. he got the role!!
