“Hey,” he frowned, placing his hand on his shoulder. “It’s alright.”

Snakes his arms around Zach and hugs him tightly.

Rubs his hand up and down the taller males back in a reassuring manner.

“Don’t apologize, Zach.” He flashed a weak smile. “You were always around for me when I needed you, I want to be able to do the same for you.”

“Yeah, of course.” Alex nodded, pulling away from him and standing to make space for him to enter.

Alex closed the door shut and followed the jock. He sat on the floor beside him. “What’s on your mind, Dempsey?”

“Me too.” He shifted slightly, staring down at the floor. “Everything is so fucking shit now.”

“Can’t you just give yourself a break for once?” Alex rolled his eyes as he stood from the bed to walk over to table to grab him the glass of water.

He nodded and pointed at his head. “Yeah, tell me about it..”

“You should learn to.” He shook his head as he returned with the glass in hand. Holding it out for him to take, he sat on the edge of the bed.
