Interesting data from Cindi Jones on upper-level botany courses taught at a large set of US institutions. Rumors of our demise may not be true. #Botany2020

#Botany2020 was an incredibly interactive & positive experience, but it could have easily been (still ok but) less than that. Just more kudos for the Botanical Society of America staff who made it all happen. Good bar set for SICB #SICB2021.

This was a fun essay to write with Chelsea Pretz who discovered that self-incompatibility in her Physalis faded as the plants aged, a process we call 'developmental decay' (to distinguish it from plastic changes in SI). We bet it's a widespread phenomenon if we were looking!
