Jan-Hendrik Kuperus It seems impossible to me that Git would be around forever. That's a loooong time. 🤭 I think Git is adequate, but far from perfect. Its snapshotting is not user-friendly (more at dangitgit.com), a patch-based approach (e.g. Pijul) would be better. (1/2)

One of Git’s problems: It doesn’t compose well. Its actions and states don’t compose well with its own states / actions. The UI reflects this. My experience is that due to its model, Pijul has easily captured things I *expected* Git could do—but couldn’t. pijul.org/model/
