Question that should be posed on this… Why will taxpayers pay on time if they know slate will wipe clean if they wait long enough? TAJ ran exactly this plan this year for taxpayers who settled their outstanding liabilities. Why run it again?

I like Al and know him a long time but these questions are just too long. I guess background in print journalism trains the more long winded setup.

Lots of talk about the JLP and PNP tax proposals. But what will they actually do? Here’s a graph of effective tax rates that AI helped me create. This includes education tax, NHT and NIS and shows effective tax rate (I.e. total tax / total income) for any given income level.

Golding is inaccurate to say that the 15% tax rate proposal will disproportionately benefit the rich. My graph of effective tax rates under both plans shows that both plans impose almost identical tax burdens on high earners.

This was an amazing gig. Saw them at Marley park in 2005 and Slane in 2009 but last night was another level. 2 hours of relentless magic.

I don’t understand the protocol around this. Surely he just never stopped being PM and continues in office without any swearing in? This isn’t how it’s done in other Westminster system governments.

I’m a few episodes behind but my favourite thing about the early episodes of the Traitors Ireland is the very Irish thing of people saying: Accuser: “Sorry for voting for you” Accused “ah it’s grand”
