I was recently sent this article, which is a heartbreaking account of the effects of dizziness and mental health. My thoughts will be on John Balson this week as I attend the Barany conference to discuss how we can improve care for people like him. theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/a…

Just posted this new video on some old myths. Vertical nystagmus is not always bad! Anda positive Dix-Hallpike test is not when you see horizontal nystagmus !youtu.be/wE-lTDWjeu4

This is what happens when you get AI to make videos about medical information. This channel with 2 subscribers published 20 videos in the last 10 days. They are all pretty much useless. Especially this one. youtube.com/watch?v=VkWDKI…

A patient's perspective on what it feels like to have vestibular neuritis. Also how to diagnose it with the HINTS plus exam. youtu.be/4vymwdsMYjk

If you see a patient with constant dizziness but no nystagmus, is that more likely to be a central or peripheral cause? I explain my take on this problem in my new video. youtu.be/LQsLZ9yW-JQ

A screen shot from another misleading and dangerous "peripheral vs central" table just found on YT. I made this video about how wrong these tables are 5 years ago. youtu.be/0FL377pUIlA

So patient presents with severe ear pain, headache, neck pain, double vision, inability to walk, horizontal and vertical nystagmus at rest. After a normal CTA and without having had a Dix-Hallpike test, , they considered BPPV. Ack!! cureus.com/articles/35327…

Cerebellar hemorrhage "masquerading" as vestibular neuritis? With mild dysmetria and dysarthria? That's hiding in plain sight! And no mention if headache was present or not?onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.11…

One of my pet peeves is the incorrect use of the term "fatiguable" or "non-fatiguable" to describe he duration of nystagmus. So I made a video about it. youtu.be/u_sgcfyKERE

Why do patients have trouble answering the question "What do you mean by dizzy?" Here is my answer in a 6 minute video. youtu.be/V1ZRHVk6bMI
