Has anyone had trouble with the old brown waterproof compound and tripping RCD. Inherited an old lighting circuit, which was bypassing the rcd. When on the rcd it trips. (Not always) when compound is separated, it clears.

A mate of mines just lost a rewire he quoted. 3 bed rewire, bungalow, converted loft space. £2800 was the quote that won.

EICR today on old cotton mill. Here is the main switch straight off the tranni. Now that’s one hell of a tap off.

Apparently it can’t be glanced right because of the cable. 120mm 4 core feeding a panel board. Brand new supply.

Nice little unit finished in Wakefield. Galve trunking used to wire lighting and customer went with plastic conduit low level to supply the sockets.
